HEART ATTACK!!!!!!

get your attention?  I am preparing to cook about 3 # of Jimmy Dean sausage and 14 eggs.  For 6 people.  None are really voracious eaters either.  Went out for starbucks and groceries.  I was probably drinking about the same time as Chad in Chicago, only by my lonesome.  Saw Jonathan Beukelman, Jen knows him a little, looks like he had some Morgan Stanley info on his desk/table.  Hard to believe he has a job jet if he is working for them.  Going to Omaha for the game.  Waiting right now for Keith and DeAnne for BK.  Played disk golf with about 7 people.  We all had different frisbees and none were official disk golf disks, I had a dinky disk and a small aerobie.  We all did fairly terrible.  I think I may have won but no-one was actually trying to keep track.  Kenneth is cooking African food tomorrow so that should be fun for most of us.  Hopefully there will be enough brave people to partake.  Looks like peanut sauce is involved so it can't be too bad.  Actually I'm sure it will be good.  I did get some chiles and hot-sauce to torture DeAnne this am in her scrambled eggs.  Sure wish they would get here.

Hi folks:
Happy Thanksgiving.  I smell the turkey cooking so it looks like we will have something to eat.  It was a beautiful day yesterday.  I started sampling in the dark about 5:30.  No moon so stars were out.  I saw a shooting star very clearly which was rather neat.  I was done sampling by sun-up at 7:30.  It was cold but I had some McD. coffee waiting in the pickup so it wasn't so bad.  Had to drive 3 hrs to Lebanon KS to oversee a plot weighing then to Lincoln by about 8:30.  Ken, Carol and Betty were here.  Soon the rest of the visitors will arrive and the festivities can start.  Hope the rest of you guys have a good day.  Hopefully NU can destroy CU tomorrow (in a nice way of course) I don't make christmas lists but I did see an electric smoker in the Cabelas catalogue that looked like it would be fun.  It would be for about 5-6 family units to go together on.  Guess I don't have a relationship with quite that many family units.  I'm rambling so I'll quit.

bye for now

Nothing much new for Mr. Positive.  I managed to sell a couple accounts while setting in my easy chair saturday.  Some setting up for the sale was required however.  Had a nice meatloaf evening meal followed by a Boggle duo prior to listening to NU volleyball.  We beat up on Texas Tech.  It's always nice to beat a Texas team in anything. Darlene and I Boggled for about half hour, maybe 7 rounds or so.  We tied, 40 points each.  I used to be able to win more.  Not sure why my boggle prowess is declining.  Maybe Alzheimers.  Went to Church this AM.  Had an interesting but rather bold sermon from first Cor. ch. 7.  Good though.  Having cocoa now.  I smell a roasting chicken in the oven.  Should be good going as my old boss used to say.  Maybe take in a movie this PM.  Don't you wish your lives were as exciting as mine?

Here's my day of fun.  Woke up at 3:30, yes, AM.  watched the end of  really stupid 70's movie.  By then Fox news was up and running.   Left Motel at 5:30, went to McDonalds.  Then to office for 2 hours.  Then started soil sampling from 7:30 til around 10:30, weighed a strip of corn for a customer,  weighed another strip for another customer.  took 2 soil samples for him,  visited another customer and rode a combine for half hour.  Took samples from 4:00-5:30.  By then it was 33 deg. and really windy.  Headed home.  I realized I had nothing to eat or drink since 5:30
AM  so stopped and got water, cheetos and peanut-butter M and M's at David City.  Made about 5 calls on the way home using about 90 minutes of phone time.  Saw a recent car deer accident north of Seward.  Car was smoking from what was no doubt a fan that had been rammed through a radiator.  I didn't stop because about 2 other people were in the process.  Got home, took shower, ate meatloaf, whined about this computer.  Ready to relax.   Sold 0 bags of corn.  Don't I live an interesting life!!

It's Sunday and I think Darlene and I will go to The movie "appaloosa"     Ed Harris and Vigo Mortensen.  Keith and I pretty much finished up harvest yesterday and Friday.  It went good.  The deer and the flood pretty much ravaged about 15-20% of the acres.  The unmolested acres were good however.  I was on a rant for a while earlier today about Taylor swift but jeremy tried to set me straight and blame the stupid uniformed and tone-deaf fans rather than the young untalented girl singer.  She sings like an average high-school girl only can flip her hair around more, and has a very cocky attitude, which I guess would not be that uncommon.  I guess I'm a little bugged by millionaires with minimal talent but great agents.  That's about all i have on that subject.  Actually not but all I will address right now.  Looks like Obama will govern from the far left as I suspected although he talked like a centrist during the campaign.  Big shock!!

Hello kids or whoever may read this.  I haven't had a lot to write about.  Darlene and I did take a motorcycle ride Sunday, 275 miles.  first south, then east to Fall City, North across I-80 to a bbq place and back to Lincoln.  It was a little chilly once the sun was going down.  Good trip though.  The leaves were pretty much blown off so the scenery wasn't great.  We did pull through several tiny towns out of curiosity.  Most look the same, one paved street, some old dumpy abandoned stores, maybe a small bar-grill combo.  Maybe gas station although usually not.  some bored looking kids walking around looking for other bored kids.  couches on the porches.  By the way we can't have couches or upholstered furniture outside in lincoln .  Some city-council-woman felt it was an eyesore.  She is the eye-sore.  Talk about government involvement!! I may just move out of Lincoln due to that.  Even though I have no couches or even a porch.  It just really bugs me.  Man did I just ever pop.  I rode in a combine today where the yield monitor exceeded over 300 bu. per acre.  Our premium products of course.  Wouldn't you think we could just sell the heck out of that hybrid.  We'll see.  Raining and blowing now so harvest is at a standstill in areas.  I hope I can go out to help Keith harvest a couple of days.  Was fun to see the raspberry baby.  I mean raspberry sized baby.  Looks like it has my nose.  Survivor tonight. Wonder who will leave.  I don't know the characters well enough to care.  Time for an icecream bar.
